Other fuels that play a role in commercial trucking include gasoline (23%) and compressed natural gas (0.4%). Electric and other categories each register less than 1%. About 32% of all electric trucks nationwide are in California, where for every electric truck there are about 300 diesel trucks (all years, Classes 3-8).

UPS plans to build an additional five compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add more than 700 new CNG vehicles including 400 semi-tractors and 330 terminal trucks. We strongly believe further investment in our natural gas fleet is a key element to help us achieve our long-term goals for reducing our CO 2 emissions.

The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG). Total DOE award: $15,000,000.

Leaving the Pavement: Bronco Off-Roadeo Ford hosts Bronco Sport Off-Roadeo programs in Austin, Texas; Gilford, New Hampshire, and where we went through the program—Moab, Utah. 4-cylinder gasoline engine with 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. There is also a similar program in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the full-size Bronco.
