Mazda Motor Corporation announced “Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030,” a new long-term vision for technology development that looks ahead to the year 2030. Compression ignition combined with a supercharger will improve fuel economy while delivering tremendous engine response and increased torque of 10–30% over the current SKYACTIV-G gasoline engine.

Road Test: 2023 Mazda CX-50 AWD Mazda Wants You to Live A Little The 2023 CX-50 is part of Mazda’s SUV quiver, smallest to largest, of the CX-30, CX-5, CX-50 and CX-9. Mazda wants the CX-50 to be seen as its first-ever adventure-oriented SUV. Fuel economy is EPA rated at 23/29/25 mpg for the turbocharged CX-50.

Mazda has added another SUV to their lineup. This past week in Santa Barbara, Mazda invited the automotive media to drive the CX-50 on the highway, twisty mountain roads and then off-road to experience soft sand, steep climbs and descents. Mazda adds another SUV. All Mazda SUVs will now come only with all-wheel drive (AWD).

The Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV, a plug-in series hybrid model that uses a rotary engine as a generator, made its world premiere at the Brussels Motor Show. The MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV has an 85 km battery-electric driving range sufficient for everyday driving needs, as well as the ability to use a generator to enable long distance drives.
