Qatar Petroleum (QP) and UOP LLC, a Honeywell company, have signed a joint research agreement on “Process Optimization of CO 2 and Sulfur Components Removal from Natural Gases.” QP develops/operates onshore and offshore oil and gas fields in Qatar, including exploration, field development, production, refining, transport, and storage.

Qatar Airways became the first airline to operate a commercial flight on a 50:50 blend with synthetic GTL Jet Fuel. GTL Jet Fuel can be used in the 50:50 blend with conventional jet fuel without any modifications to existing aircraft and engines. It also offers improved thermal stability, meaning engines would be able to run hotter.

Williams Advanced Engineering is part of a consortium that has secured government funding from Innovate UK to test driverless cars in the Bristol region. This appointment follows the UK Chancellor’s recent autumn statement announcement to make the UK a world center for the testing and development of this new technology.
