Students from Mississippi State University placed first in the 2010 EcoCAR: The NeXt Challenge finals in San Diego, Calif. The Mississippi State University EcoCAR team chose to design an EREV hybrid with a 21.3 after designing and building an biodiesel extended-range electric vehicle (EREV).

The Ohio State University has taken first place in the final year of EcoCAR 3, an Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition, sponsored by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and General Motors Co. kWh energy storage system. This is OSU’s fourth consecutive win. The team earned 895 out of 1000 overall points.

The US Department of Energy (DOE), General Motors and MathWorks launched the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge, the latest DOE-sponsored Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition ( AVTC ), revealed the 12 competing universities and named the Chevrolet Blazer as the vehicle platform selected for the competition. Our first two ride & drives, in 2014 and 2015, were the largest NDEW events held in the area west of the Mississippi, south of St. The chapter scheduled pre-events that stretched for nearly 3 weeks before NDEW began. The right folks Erb gave other reasons for the chapter’s success that predate the original NDEW event.
