Capstone Receives order for 34 microturbines for Denver RTD electric bus fleet

The buses are expected to be delivered to Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) later this year. The new Denver RTD buses will operate on the 16 th Street Mall in downtown Denver. The batteries are recharged by the Capstone 30kW microturbine, running on diesel or biodiesel.

US DOE Awards $300 Million in Clean Cities Grants to Support Alternative Fuels, Vehicles, and Infrastructure Development

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG).

Pilot program to provide e-bikes to low-income workers in Durango, CO; NREL/CEO study on use patterns, efficiency benefits

Recipients will also receive helmets, LED lights, locks, panniers and training. The bikes come with removable battery packs, which workers can take off and recharge when they go into work or get home. The initial three-month pilot program provided e-bikes to 13 low-income essential workers in the Denver area.
