Power Grid first-ever EV charging station in Meghalaya. The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has announced that it has installed its first-ever Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) in the state of Meghalaya at its office complex at Lapalang, Shillong.

In December 2020, Hitachi ABB Power Grids has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ashok Leyland and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) for an e-mobility pilot project. Ashok Leyland will provide electric buses incorporating Hitachi ABB Power Grids‘ flash-charging technology-Grid-eMotionTM Flash.

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) estimates that the current power grid could handle many tens of millions of cars plugging in at off-peak hours before wed have any capacity issues [See EPRI article PDF ]. Generally, theyll plug in at night.

The State of New Mexico has denied a petition put forward by automotive dealers to ease off on planned electric vehicle mandates. According to Automotive News , the board voted 4-1 on Friday to deny a motion of stay for a petition filed by the New Mexico Automotive Dealers Association in December. Not that this matters for New Mexico.
