Fusion Fuel will receive an estimated €10-million grant as part of Component 14 (C-14) of the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan to develop its 6.6MW HEVO-Industria green hydrogen project in Sines, Portugal. C-14 is focused on accelerating the energy transition by supporting the production of hydrogen and other renewable gases.

Daimler has concluded customer field trials with eight pre-production Fuso Canter E-Cell electric trucks ( earlier post ) in Portugal. All eight vehicles travelled the roads of Portugal and were permanently monitored and analyzed during the one-year field trial. The Canter E-Cell trucks were equipped with platforms and box bodies.

an independent producer of specialty hydrocarbon and fuel products, will invest $25 million as a joint venture partner in the construction of the Juniper GTL commercial gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant in Louisiana ( earlier post ). The Juniper GTL process starts with the reforming of natural gas into a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide.

The new EU law will require that all carmakers achieve a 100 percent cut in CO2 emissions by 2035 for all new cars sold, eliminating the possibility that gas or petrol-fueled engines can be sold in any of the 27 countries in the EU. More regions across the world are adopting new climate goals that include a restriction on gas-powered engines.
