The Volvo Car Corporation has begun production of the C30 Electric ( earlier post ); initial deliveries to leasing customers, mainly companies, authorities and governmental bodies, will take place immediately after the summer. The car is recharged from a regular household power socket. A full recharge takes about 7 hours.

Azure Dynamics Corporation announced that its Norwegian Ford dealership, RøhneSelmer, has signed an order for an additional 100 Transit Connect Electric vans. RøhneSelmer’s original order in March was for 58 units for various clients, among them Norway Post (Posten Norge AS).

The share of rechargeable cars increased marginally from a share of 56 percent in 2022 to just under 60 percent, where the share of electric cars amounted to nearly 39 percent and plug-in hybrids to 21 percent. In Europe, Sweden has the third highest share of electric cars, with Norway dominating with 83 percent.
