Ford has begun production of the 2014 F-150 with the gaseous fuel prep option, making Ford the only manufacturer with an available CNG/LPG-capable half-ton pickup. The 2014 Ford F-150 with 3.7-liter The Ford F-150 with 3.7-liter F-Series Super Duty pickup and F-350 chassis cab.

XL unveiled its plug-in hybrid electric Ford Super Duty F-250 pickup truck ( earlier post ) at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis. These numbers are consistent with what the PHEV F-150 has been proven to achieve at EPA-certified testing facilities.

The XLP technology will be installed in MY17 Ford F-150 pickups with the 2.7L The XLP will also be available for the upcoming MY18 Ford F-150 pickup with the 2.7L

XL Hybrids will begin production on the new XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System for Model Year 2018 Ford Super Duty F-250 pickups in first quarter 2018. This will be the first time that Ford F-250 trucks can be ordered by fleet customers with hybrid-electric drive technology; the XL3 system can provide up to a 25% increase in fuel economy.
