Sales-Lentz, one of the public transport operators in Luxembourg, has ordered three Heliox Fast Charge Systems with OppCharge open interface to provide fast charging services for its four Volvo 7900 electric buses. End of route stations will be delivered Q2 2017, with one of the systems to be located at Sales-Lentz’ depot.

ABB has installed two fast-chargers for electric hybrid buses at Luxembourg City’s central station. The chargers are based on OppCharge, an open interface for the automated charging of electric buses from any manufacturer ( earlier post ), and use a pantograph on the infrastructure to connect the bus to the charging point.

SAIC Mobility Europe, a division of China’s largest vehicle manufacturer, SAIC, is introducing the Maxus light commercial vehicle brand. SAIC Mobility Europe was formally established in Luxembourg. The Maxus EV80 van has become the first fully electric large panel van on European roads, ahead of the brand’s full launch in 2019.
