The South Bay region I live and work in covers an area of 161 square miles and encompasses 15 cities plus portions of the City of Los Angeles and unincorporated portions of the County of Los Angeles. They’re kind of funny that way. Can we still make a difference though the hour is late, the light is fading and moment is at hand?

Another of my favorite people on the Southern California environmental scene is State Senator Fran Pavley who also spoke at the press conference. Right now the dock workers and the people who live near the ports are choking on the worst air pollution anywhere in the area. I’ve heard him speak at the Plug-In conference.
