Toyota showing two new fuel cell concepts at Tokyo Motor Show: bus and car

Toyota has launched two new fuel cell vehicle concepts: the Sora fuel cell bus and the Fine Comfort Ride fuel cell car. Toyota developed the Sora concept model guided by two ideas: to make best use of the characteristics of the FC unit; and to enhance the comfort of passengers traveling on bus routes. The bus uses a NiMH drive battery.

Peugeot Shows Two HYbrid4 Concepts, New BB1 EV Concept at Frankfurt

The 3008 HYbrid4 concept previews the production model that will appear in spring 2011. Peugeot used the Frankfurt Motor Show as the platform to show two concept versions of its HYbrid4 platform. In addition, Peugeot introduced the BB1 electric concept car. Sanyo provided its expertise on the NiMH high voltage batteries.

ETV Motors Demonstrates Proof-of-Concept Microturbine-Based Range-Extended Electric Prius

(ETVM) completed a proof-of-concept test of its Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) architecture using a gas microturbine for the range-extending generator. SEAT, Ficosa and Sanyo join forces to develop batteries for electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal
