Fifty years later, the USA is faced with a similar challenge, energy independency and climatic change. In Germany, renewable electricity generation will be 35 percent by 2020, and 50 percent by 2050. As our planet’s atmosphere overheats because the greenhouse gas firewall we’ve built by burning fossil fuels works so damn well, there is one secret weapon we can all still whip out if we want to fight back and try to save ourselves from frying. A year ago for the same period we used 480 kWh which cost us $72.17.
