The public agencies receiving vehicles are: Alameda County, Sonoma County, San Francisco, Concord, Santa Rosa, San Jose, Oakland, Fremont, the Marin Municipal Water District, and Sonoma County Water Agency. The County will receive 26 of the 90 vehicles—raising the number of electric or hybrid vehicles in its fleet to more than 50.

The additional Proposition 1B funding will provide $5,000 per truck for 1,216 additional trucks to install particulate matter filters on their rigs, and provide $50,000 for owners of 103 old trucks to purchase newer models. ARB will continue to work with its local, port and federal partners to seek additional compliance assistance funding.

California buyers of the Ford Focus Electric will be able to receive up to $10,000 in tax credits ($2,500 state, $7,500 federal) and enjoy high-occupancy vehicle lane (HOV) access after the car was just approved for California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Program ( CVRP ). 3 and 7, respectively, for the worst congestion in the US.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) Innovative Clean Transit Regulation requires all California agencies to transition to zero-emission bus fleets by 2040.

The Plug-In Partners campaign has now surpassed 6,000 fleet orders. Soft” fleet orders are a critical component of the Plug-In Partners goal of demonstrating to automakers that a market exists for flexible fuel plug-in hybrids. As fleet orders increase, city governments around the country also continue to join the coalition.
