Currently, battery costs are one of the main barriers, but these barriers are declining as usage and production increase while new technologies and materials continue to push down costs.

V2G helps solve the major problem that demand for electricity is high during the day when everything from industrial plants to air conditioning is running full blast and then excess electricity is wasted at night. So while my car is powering the great city during the day how will I have juice to drive home at the end of the day?

Currently, there are some industrial facilities that use battery swapping to replenish the energy stores of electric forklifts. Like shopping malls for example, or very nearly any manufacturer or industrial consumer. Beware of businessmen trying to make a fortune with the wish to shift to cleaner propulsion!
