Poland-based Impact Clean Power Technology S.A. The production process will be powered by photovoltaic installation stabilized by energy storage built from recycled battery systems previously used in public transport. The investment will boost the company’s production capacity to up to 5 GWh per year, up from its current 1 MWh per day.

Poland-based battery systems maker Impact Clean Power Technology unveiled a visualization of GigafactoryX—a large-scale battery factory for electric vehicles and energy storage which will be launched in the city of Pruszków, near Warsaw. The Li-ion battery systems to be manufactured will include LTO, LFP and NMC technologies.

Poland-based Hynfra has signed a framework cooperation agreement with Amarenco MENA, a major developer of renewable energy projects in the Middle East and North Africa and part of Amarenco Group. The company finances, develops, builds and operates C&I and large-scale solar PV plants across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The ongoing tensions between Italy and Alfa Romeo’s parent company Stellantis reached a head last week when the Italian government told the automaker that naming its upcoming Alfa Romeo EV the Milano was against the law because the car will be built in Poland. A car called Milano cannot be produced in Poland.

For 2019, Poland-based Solaris claims to have concluded the most contracts for the construction of electric buses. The Van Hool factory in Macedonia is building 900 buses this year; the factory is designed for an annual capacity of 1,000 buses. 47% of the buses built by Solaris are powered by an alternative propulsion system.

In the EU Emissions Trading System, emissions from stationary installations increased by 0.2% Emissions trends for industrial installations have been more variable, reflecting the economic developments observed in Europe over the last three trading periods. Poland and France also saw large growth in emissions.
