It was a terrific day spent on Renewable Energy and if you follow my Twitter feed you got some of the highlights during the three hour agenda. It attracted a lot of attention but so did his comments during the “Clean Technology in California: Opportunities and Challenges&# panel to start the day.

Average US pump prices for regular gasoline are likely to exceed $3 per gallon at times during the driving season, according to EIA, and already exceed $3 per gallon in some areas such as California. This summer, the stimulus to demand from the continuing modest economic recovery is constrained by the projected $0.48-per-gallon

California Is the Place You Want To Be. Just as we also see California for what it is – the most energy efficient state in the the USA and the only logical model for the rest of the country to follow. In fact that’s such a good idea the Public Utilities Commission of California already has that mandate in place. .

As the late great Woody Guthrie put it, California is a garden of Eden, a paradise to live in or see; But believe it or not, you won’t find it so hot. All the commercial and government buildings in the state are ready to have their roofs raised too. All told, that’s only about 90% of all our buildings.
