The renewable power sources maintain a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that can power an all-electric unit from 10-12 hours at temperatures from -20° F to 60°F. The company successfully tested the first zero-emission eTRU for commercial use on a Challenge Dairy truck making urban deliveries in 2017.

The first vehicle now serves routes in Fresno with the balance of the vehicles to be deployed in Fresno and Stockton as part of a year-long program. Motiv’s electric step vans have a range of up to 90 miles with a top speed of 60 mph; battery packs are available in 106 kWh or 127 kWh configurations.
