WASHINGTON — 3 months later the EPA proposed its strictest-ever limits on tailpipe air pollution, NHTSA has defined gas financial system requirements for current light-duty automobiles and vehicles that will require a mean fleet gas financial system of 58 mpg by means of the 2032 mannequin yr.

The California South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) has awarded AC Propulsion a $300,000 grant to integrate its electric drive system technology into commercial service vans ( three Ford E250 vans supplied by Comcast) in Southern California. AC Propulsion was awarded the $300,000 grant out of a total program budget of $750,000.

Under the proposed standards, the average GHG emission performance of the 2016 Canadian fleet of new cars and light trucks would match the average level of 155 g CO 2 /km (250 gCO 2 /mile) that has been projected for the US. This would represent an approximate 20% reduction compared to the new vehicle fleet that was sold in Canada in 2007.

Bruno today announced a new $10 million State program to convert vehicles in the State fleet to plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and plans for the construction of a state-of-the-art alternative fuel research laboratory at the Saratoga Technology + Energy Park (STEP). The 600 hybrid vehicles in the State fleet will be retrofitted to be PHEVs.
