Honda targeting 100% BEV & FCEV sales in N America by 2040; new e:Architecture EVs coming in second half of this decade

As the first of the 10 models, the mass-production model based on the Honda SUV e:prototype is scheduled to go on sale in spring 2022. In Japan, Honda will strive for a BEV/FCEV sales share of 20% by 2030, 80% by 2035 and 100% by 2040. With this aim, Honda will be starting development for testing in Japan from this year.

First car using Nidec’s E-Axle traction motor system unveiled

The new electric car brand Aion S—recently unveiled at Auto Guangzhou 2018 by GAC NE, GAC MOTOR’s new energy vehicle arm—will be the first line of cars to adopt Nidec’s fully integrated traction motor system (E-Axle) ( earlier post ).
