Unitrans has pursued alternative fuels for nearly a decade, a strategy accelerated by the California Air Resources Board’s adoption of the Innovative Clean Transit regulation in 2018, which mandates the state’s public transit agencies to transition to 100% zero-emission bus fleets by 2040.

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The project will deploy 502 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles through 119 public and private fleets throughout the state.

PECO is expanding its fleet with new natural gas and hybrid electric models. The utility is participating in a national consortium that recently was awarded a federal stimulus grant to purchase plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and the company is buying more trucks to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) as well.

Amazon announced an investment of nearly $1 billion in an all-electric delivery truck fleet last October. The City of Easthampton, Massachusetts announced in April that it is transitioning its city-owned vehicle fleet from gas to electric, and will be the first city to offer an EV adoption benefit to employees who convert.

The tankers will collect waste vegetable oil from 750 of Ettline’s customers and deliver it to a processor for conversion to SVO. 176,900 to retrofit a 40-vehicle fleet with auxiliary idle reduction systems.

Clean Fleet Report’s time in the Hummer combined short course demonstrations of all-wheel steering, Watts To Freedom mode and Crab Walk. kW per mile, which is a woeful number compared to other EVs Clean Fleet Report has tested. We tried it and it works, but needing this technology is another conversation for another day.
