He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1949 from Johns Hopkins University , in Baltimore, and earned a Ph.D. He retired in 2019. At the time, Bell Labs was the research arm of AT&T.

The first Tesla I ever drove was a Model 3 back in 2019 when I first started writing for Teslarati. There was not very much creaking or movement from these parts , which can sometimes be cheap and seem like an inferior quality. It was so quiet in the car and so peaceful, that it was undoubtedly my favorite part of the test drive.
