Neste’s sustainable aviation fuel is produced from non-palm renewable and sustainable raw materials. Neste is increasing renewable jet fuel production volumes significantly over the course of the next few years. The fuel supplied will produce up to 80% fewer emissions over its life-cycle compared with conventional jet fuel.

The vessel’s fuel will be produced from renewable electricity marking a paradigm shift towards entirely emissions-free marine transport. Hydrogen produced from renewable electricity will be used to fuel Ballard FCveloCity-HD 100-kilowatt fuel cell power modules, which will provide zero-emission primary propulsion power for the ferry.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros heavy-duty electric truck, with a range of up to 200 km, is in intensive use by customers in Germany and Switzerland as part of the eActros “innovation fleet”. The first hand-off to a customer was in 2018. Truly CO 2 -neutral transport only works with battery-electric or hydrogen-based drive.

Norway-based energy company Equinor has contracted with Eidesvik Offshore for the Viking Energy supply vessel, which is being retrofitted to make it capable of covering long distances fueled by carbon-free ammonia. Hydrogen can be produced both from natural gas and from renewable sources through electrolysis. The Viking Energy.

It will secure fast and cost efficient fueling of Nikola’s fleet of hydrogen trucks, delivering support to major customers like Anheuser-Busch, as well as a growing fleet of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. We’ll begin fleet testing the Nikola hydrogen electric semi-trucks in 2019.

Beginning in 2019 and over a five-year period, Hyundai Motor and H2 Energy will provide 1,000 heavy-duty fuel cell electric trucks ( earlier post ) and an adequate supply chain for renewable hydrogen. The fuel cell electric truck is being developed according to European regulations.
