New Zealand’s first company dedicated to the supply of green hydrogen, Hiringa Energy, and global trading and investment enterprise, Mitsui & Co. have signed a strategic alliance agreement to pursue jointly hydrogen-related commercial projects in New Zealand.

Researchers in New Zealand have shown that investing in cycle lanes and walkways encourages people to drive less and cuts carbon emissions. The researchers from the University of Otago, Wellington and Victoria University studied the impact of new cycling and walking paths built in New Plymouth and Hastings in 2011.

Daimler AG will make investments in the high nine figures (euro) in the new model series by the time of the market launch. The key markets will be Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Australia with New Zealand, and Europe. In Brazil, mid-size pickups have a share of almost 5% of the total vehicle market.

The EV launch comes as part of a product offensive, in which SEAT will launch one new car every six months until 2020. The first two vehicles will be the SEAT Tarraco and the CUPRA Ateca, which are going on sale at the end of 2018. SEAT is going to launch one new car every six months until 2020.

Along with the release of the study, Nissan announced that the new LEAF will go on sale in seven markets in Asia and Oceania during the next fiscal year: Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand.
