EEA reports sharp decrease in CO2 emissions of new cars in Europe in 2020

The European Environment Agency (EEA) has published its provisional data about the CO 2 emissions of newly registered passenger cars and vans in Europe in 2020. For cars, the data show a 12% decrease in average cO 2 emissions, compared with 2019. Average van emissions decreased slightly, by about 1.5 %.

BMW to begin testing BMW M Hybrid V8 with P66/3 engine

The BMW M Hybrid V8 is powered by the P66/3 eight-cylinder turbo engine with supplementary electric drive. The combustion engine is based on the DTM unit used in the BMW M4 DTM in 2017 and 2018. European Council agrees on 35% cut in new car CO2 by 2030

The Council agreed to adjust the Commission proposal on an incentive mechanism for zero- and low-emission vehicles such as fully electric cars or plug-in hybrid vehicles as regards passenger cars.
