Much has been made of late of Toyota and other automakers claims they will commercialize hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in 2015. In 2007 GM spokesman Scott Fosgard told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that by 2012 there will be about 10,000 hydrogen vehicles on the market from a variety of companies. I don't think so. In 5 years.

Its like having a second fuel tank that you always use first -- only you fill up at home, from a regular outlet, at an equivalent cost of under $1/gallon. Lifetime service costs are lower for a vehicle that is mainly electric. At $3 for a gallon of gas, driving a non-hybrid car costs 8-20 cents/mile (depending on MPG).
