Jeep-branded EV charging stations will be installed at or near the trailheads of Jeep Badge of Honor off-road trails over the next year, allowing owners to take full-advantage of their electrified Jeep SUV. Jeep 4xe Charging Stations will be either directly connected to the power grid or use solar power to generate electricity.

Scientist have confirmed that unlike gasoline cars, plug-ins will get cleaner as they get older -- because our power grid is getting cleaner. Only PHEVs and battery EVs get cleaner as they get older - because the electric grid gets cleaner every decade. But theyve needed definitive proof that PHEVs wont increase pollution.

Whilst hydrogen today is extracted from natural gas and is already a global, multi-billion dollar industry used in a wide range of industrial applications, it is also produced from renewable sources like solar, wind or biogas without the need to use fossil fuels. Of course, this also has the merit of producing so-called “green hydrogen”.

Wont all these cars require us to build even more power plants? The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) estimates that the current power grid could handle many tens of millions of cars plugging in at off-peak hours before wed have any capacity issues [See EPRI article PDF ]. Generally, theyll plug in at night.
