Today, Consumer Reports says the Nissan Leaf is a good used-car value, renderings of a fake Tesla "Model M" electric motorcycle appear, and a Toyota Prius taxi logs over 600,000 miles in Austria. Used Nissan Leaf electric cars are a good choice, and can be had at a low price if you're willing to negotiate.

Large-battery vehicles that have battery system capacity equal or greater than 10 kWh, including models such as the Nissan Leaf, Ford Focus and Chevy Volt, are eligible for the highest rebate amount. A $500 rebate is available for electric motorcycles and scooters.

Toyota: When the Toyota Prius originally went on sale in 1997, it was the world’s first mass-produced hybrid car, meaning the Japanese automaker effectively stole a march on its rivals.
