At the Los Angeles Auto Show next week, Porsche will present a long wheelbase version of its new Panamera version, called the Panamera Executive. Porsche introduced the fully redeveloped second-generation of the Panamera in the summer of 2016. The Executive models of the big Porsche have a 150 mm longer wheelbase.

Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) has entered an agreement with Electrify America, LLC to provide the first all-electric Porsche, the Taycan, with three years of charging at Electrify America public stations across the country. In addition, Porsche US dealers will install their own fast-charge kiosks.

Indeed they chose some of those roads, twisting up and down the canyons around Malibu, just north of Los Angeles, to launch the new Performance model, a car they describe as “a canyon carver”. That’s less than half what a Porsche Taycan starts at, and well below another obvious competitor in the shape of Hyundai’s $111,000 Ioniq 5 N.
