The 2024 Range Rover Electric has been previewed ahead of its launch next year with the British 4X4 maker releasing pics and early details of its flagship SUV that will provide a more luxurious and expensive alternative to large battery-powered rivals like the Kia EV9. Not that the Range Rover Electric will neglect luxury.

Reasons for this substantial 2021 increase in EV numbers include: The UK government’s recent announcement that sales of new petrol and diesel cars and vans will end by 2030 (and sales of plug-in hybrids will end by 2035) has already focused people’s minds on EVs.

BEV sales in the UK have grown rapidly over the past year – with demand rising, at least in part due to petrol shortages, which dried up many motorists’ gas tanks in September. Conventional hybrids and plug-in hybrids will continue to be sold until 2035, after which only pure electric vehicles will be allowed into the UK market.
