And EV owners would become entrepreneurs, selling electricity back to the grid. And indeed, that’s how promoters of vehicle-to-grid technology perceive the EV.

Whenever the grid usage is at its peak, the utility notifies the customer of a demand response event. V2G, where the “G” stands for “grid”, re-directs power from the EV back to the grid.
