South Korean car maker Hyundai seized the opportunity at the 11th Hyundai-Kia International Powertrain Conference, by releasing two new powertrains: the Gamma 1.6 T-GDI engine; and the Euro6 R-2.0 diesel engine. The Gamma 1.6 T-GDI was developed over 52 months and cost the company around US$61.3million.
