Electric vehicle subsidies went from temporary to indefinite and combustion bans have gone from right around the corner to anyone’s guess. & With this in mind, Porsche’s CFO was recently quoted as saying European combustion bans will probably need to be delayed and there’s good reason to believe him.&

During his concluding remarks at the Group Night event, Volkswagen Group Chairman Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn said that “ The Porsche Mission E and the Audi e-tron quattro concept are nothing less than a quantum leap for our industry ”—both vehicles have an all-electric range of 500 kilometers (311 miles).

Globally, by 2025, Audi is aiming to have 30 electrified models on sale, with 20 of those vehicles fully electric. In the US, Audi has already introduced five production models: the Audi Q5 TFSI e, A7 TFSI e and A8 TFSI e plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) as well as the e-tron all-electric SUV and upcoming e-tron Sportback.

Not all were, of course, as there is still plenty of interest around gasoline-propelled cars, SUVs and trucks. A stunning electric drop-top. liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that now pumps-out 195 horsepower.
