Republic deploys 67 CNG solid waste and recycling trucks in southern NJ and Philadelphia area

has brought 67 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) solid waste and recycling trucks to serve customers throughout southern New Jersey and in Philadelphia. The new CNG fleet will replace older diesel-powered trucks. Republic operates a fleet of more than 1,400 CNG vehicles and 26 natural gas fueling stations nationwide.

US DOE Awards $300 Million in Clean Cities Grants to Support Alternative Fuels, Vehicles, and Infrastructure Development

The vehicles and infrastructure being funded include the use of natural and renewable gas, propane, ethanol, biodiesel, electricity, and hybrid technologies. The project will result in expanded availability of alternative fuels with 17 new CNG and E85 fueling stations and 63 electric vehicle charging stations.
