Volvo Cars will build a third manufacturing plant in Europe, positioning the company well to meet the continued demand from its customers for electric cars and capture future growth potential. Construction of the Kosice plant is planned to start in 2023, with equipment and production lines installed during 2024.

Porsche will manufacture the future all-electric version of the fourth-generation Cayenne at Volkswagen Slovakia’s multi-brand location in Bratislava. Since production began in 2002, the Cayenne has been closely associated with Bratislava. With the third generation of the SUV, production moved entirely to Bratislava in 2017.

Skoda Auto has launched series production of the second-generation Kodiaq, its SUV flagship model, at the plant in Kvasiny, Czech Republic on January 17. In preparation, the company has made considerable investments into modernising both the production line and welding shop.
