However, the status of gasoline-powered Wagoneers is somewhat flummoxing. Both the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe start about $61,000 and can be outfitted beyond $80,000.

Updated V-8 gasoline engines with Dynamic Fuel Management include the available 6.2L Sixty-six percent more cargo room behind the third row for Tahoe, and 19% more maximum cargo space behind the first row for Suburban: both best-in-class. Duramax turbo-diesel engine.

FirstElement Fuel has secured $24 million to help fund the growth of its True Zero Hydrogen Network of retail stations in California, and thereby quadruple the company’s capacity to dispense retail hydrogen to customers of fuel cell electric vehicles. FirstElement Fuel’s retail hydrogen network is the largest in the world today.

Further, Air Liquide has signed a long-term agreement with FirstElement Fuel Inc (FEF), a leader in retail hydrogen infrastructure in the US, to supply renewable hydrogen to FEF’s retail liquid hydrogen fueling stations in California. Air Liquide has designed and installed more than 120 stations around the world to date.

Icom North America, a developer and manufacturer of liquid-injection propane (autogas) systems for commercial and consumer vehicles, has received 17 new US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications for its patented JTG II Propane Liquid Injection bi-fuel systems. It is designed specifically for use with OEM gasoline engines.

The Polk County, Oregon, Sheriff’s Office is running 10 patrol cars converted to propane autogas, including seven Ford Crown Vics, two Chevy Tahoes and one Ford F-350 pickup truck; the office expects to save more than $20,000 every year by using the alternative fuel. —Sergeant Mark Garton, Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
