A study by researchers at the Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Davis finds that buyers of plug-in vehicles (PEVs) are substantially less satisfied with the dealer purchase experience than buyers of conventional vehicles—with the notable exception of Tesla buyers. In some cases, dealers outright discouraged PEV purchases.

the developer of a plug-in electric pickup truck ( earlier post ), has applied for a $250-million loan from the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing ( ATVM ) Loan Program. Workhorse CEO and President Stephen Burns said that the company has received letters of intent to purchase more than 5,000 W-15s.

The rule establishes a year-by-year roadmap so that by 2035 100% of new cars and light trucks sold in California will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). It does not impact existing vehicles on the road today, which will still be legal to own and drive.
