Earlier this week, New Jersey officials announced plans to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035. The ban is New Jersey’s effort to improve the air quality in the state. The gas car ban is New Jersey’s first step toward zero-emissions vehicles. The rule will only apply to new car sales.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is announcing the availability of grant funding to implement projects aimed at reducing emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines.
