The contract is the first result of Eltek Valere’s growth initiative for electric vehicle technologies, and shows new areas of application for the company’s core competencies. The THINK City is being produced in Valmet, Finland, and now is ready for orders.

Many of Norway's tycoons and heirs are making significant investments in the company which is planning production of as many as 10,000 cars by 2009. Finland-based Valmet Automotive, which signed a letter of intent under which Valmet Automotive will be a production and engineering partner for the Think City electric vehicle, will also become a minor shareholder in Think. The car already has a sales network in Europe and is ready for mass production.

It’s the Electric Motor Show this weekend in Helsinki, and a whole host of innovative electric cars will be on display at the Exhibition & Convention Centre in the Finnish capital. Among the exhibitors will be Think, the Norwegian electric vehicle will be making its Finnish motor show debut with its Think City electric car.
