The True Cause of Recessions: OIL. I was asked to speak about the economic impact of our oil dependency and so I began researching this topic to see if I could draw some insightful conclusions. All of the recessions listed above were caused by oil except the early 2000 recession that was caused by September 11th, 2001.

Major news keeps buzzing about Hydrogen, Flex-fuel, E85/Ethanol, Bio-Diesel and other alternative energies but when it comes down to it, I believe that only the least common denominator will be able to survive in a world of constantly changing energy sources and that thing is called electricity. How about oil?

The “wet” part of a DCT means it uses oil to improve lubrication and cooling. A “dry” DCT does not use oil, but is the more fuel efficient of the two types. The MacPherson struts, coil springs, and gas-pressured shock absorbers up front, and the self-leveling multi-link rear suspension resulted in a composed and even ride.
