The Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN) was awarded a $5-million grant to advance its effort to become California’s first all-electric transit operator. The California Air Resources Board approved a new regulation designed to reduce pollution further from ocean-going vessels while docked at California’s busiest ports. An example would be purchasing zero-emission heavy-duty trucks for port use. The rule builds on progress achieved by the At-Berth Regulation adopted in 2007.

The US Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has selected 10 projects that will receive a share of $55 million in competitive grants that will help put a new generation of zero-emission buses on the road. Grants from the LoNo program help transit agencies integrate more of these advanced buses into their fleets.
