American Honda Motor has introduced a Class 8 hybrid diesel electric truck into its truck fleet at its parts center in Alpharetta, Ga—the first such in the auto industry. Honda uses Class 8 trucks to transport service parts between its parts centers and dealerships.

Hybrids which are seen as a strong alternative to diesel not only give a higher fuel efficiency than petrol, but also give the experience of an EV — without any anxiety of range, given the penetration of charging infrastructure.
