The Shanghai GM Sail electric concept vehicle ( earlier post ) mad e its global debut at the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show. Also highlighted among the 23 production and concept vehicles at the show is the Chevrolet Volt extended-range electric vehicle. It uses regenerative braking to produce additional energy.

At these prices, people are buying the "environmental feature" -- they want to be among the first owners of the worlds cleanest extended-range vehicles. Conversions are limited to certain vehicle types.
