The US’s largest battery-grade lithium refinery will be in Oklahoma

The refinery will be in Southside Industrial Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma, southeast of Tulsa, and is expected to be capable of producing up to 50,000 metric tonnes of battery-grade lithium annually. The company currently expects to break ground in the first half of 2024.

Rivian CEO shows off new fleet of Amazon delivery vans

Amazon’s renewable delivery van started testing rounds in Los Angeles earlier this year in February. Later, the all-electric Amazon van was spotted testing in San Francisco and delivering packages in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by April. It was custom-built for Amazon after Jeff Bezos’ company led an investment round for Rivian in 2019.

California Energy Commission awards more than $8.5M to bring natural gas- and propane-powered vehicles to California

The awards are funded by the Commission’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program. The approved incentives go to these companies: Crane Carrier Company (Tulsa, Oklahoma) is awarded $884,000 to help buy- down 34 natural gas vehicles in the 26,001 pounds and greater gross vehicle weight range.
