The Explorer excels at towing and off-road work, all while still being a competent commuter car. As a plug-in hybrid, it offered a dozen or so miles of all-electric driving range and a significant boost in power over the trims that don’t include the words “Grand Touring.” We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

This car has half the power, substantially more battery capacity, and similar range to the EV1. These "gliders" were originally built to be either ICE or electric. They are NOT conversions, but were designed to be electric from the beginning. Much of the car is identical to the ICE counterpart.
