The analysis covered 23 markets in Europe and found a direct correlation between diesel car registrations and average CO2 emissions. Sales of new passenger cars in the EU increased by 3% in 2017 compared to the previous year. Registrations increased in all EU Member States except Finland, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
