Project partners include INERATEC, a spinoff of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), VTT Technical Research Center of Finland and Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT). The mobile chemical pilot plant produces gasoline, diesel, and kerosene from regenerative hydrogen and carbon dioxide.

Driving long and heavy loads using electricity works very well so far, and we can carry as much cargo as a diesel truck. We charge with green electricity and thus get no CO2 emissions. One example is Finland, where it is permitted to drive with 76 tonnes of total weight and 34.5m truck combinations on most roads.
Low-emission fuels such as Neste MY Renewable Diesel are among these, but we need to look at other solutions as well, no matter how small. The Technical Research Centre of Finland, VTT, then analyzed the data, after which HERE and PTV algorithms were used to scale and study the data further.
Development of high-temperature electrolysis, CO 2 capture, and hydrocarbon synthesis technologies have been completed in a Business Finland-funded Veturi E-fuel research project; the integrated technology is now ready for implementation.

40 kWh battery EV is equal to diesel car. The batteries for electric vehicles and for other appliances cells are assembled in modules and packs which depends on what materials these are made of and how they are manufactured, also affect the battery’s CO2 footprint and climate impact.
