We didn’t text photos to friends and family in far colder climates back home. The interest in these trips stem in part from a growing trend among travelers to try to escape technology’s tether on daily life. But we didn’t capture any of this on our phones. No Instagram stories were posted of the fun being had. No TikToks either.

The beauty of the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is, when stopped on a trail due to deep ruts, the instant torque at any speed delivers a smooth escape. Along with active grille shutters, spending time in the wind tunnel paid off as the air flow is directed around, over and under in such a way to get the coefficient of drag (C d ) to a low 0.28.

We don’t know if the Ioniq 6 will introduce remote connectivity – allowing activating climate control or checking the charge status from your phone – as found in Teslas, for example. As soon as you hop in the Ioniq 6 you’re hit with the feeling of luxury, advanced tech and space. Generous, to say the least.
