The Boeing-COMAC Technology Center’s first research project will explore opportunities to refine waste cooking oil, often described in China as “gutter oil,” into sustainable aviation biofuel. Boeing has estimated that Chinese airlines will need to buy 5,000 new airplanes by 2030 to meet this extraordinary demand.

Nonetheless, I do agree that it wastes of energy, reduces range and should NOT be mandatory. Motor Trend Magazine has extensive coverage of all cars online including road tests, free videos, buying guides, etc. a cyclist is much quieter, and these cars do have horns still for people what step out in front. because I am one.
