The California Air Resources Board announced a settlement with AltAir-Paramount, LLC addressing reporting violations under the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS). AltAir produces renewable diesel and renewable jet fuel from tallow at its facility in Paramount, CA. Of that total, $66,500 goes into California’s Air Pollution Control Fund.

With this new funding, we can start to fill in those blanks, and improve management of nitrogen, carbon and water to help move agriculture toward sustainability in significant ways. will receive $6 million to build a commercial biodiesel production facility in Fresno. The output will be shipped by pipeline to commercial blending facilities and is slated to be pre-sold to companies obligated to purchase carbon credit offsets. The fuel produced will be enough to replace 56,000 gallons of conventional diesel.
